How far in advance should I book a private chef in Ibiza?

We recommend booking at least 72 hours in advance to ensure availability, especially during the peak summer season. However, we always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.

How do I book a private chef in Ibiza?

Tell us your dates, where you are staying, how many guests and which service you have in mind. We check availability and come back with a proposal built around what you told us. Once the menu and the service are agreed, a 50% deposit confirms the booking. In peak season, get in touch as early as you can, and earlier still for a Full Time or Half Time chef across several days.

How much does a private chef cost?

There is no single figure worth quoting: it depends on the destination, the number of guests, which service you book and the menu. Ingredients are billed separately at what they cost, with receipts. Travel beyond the areas we list for a destination, additional staff and unusually long hours are quoted on top. You will have the whole price in writing before anything is confirmed.

What is the Full Time Service?

A chef with you through the day: breakfast, lunch and dinner, up to 13 working hours including the time spent shopping. Your chef plans the menus, does the shopping, cooks and leaves the kitchen clean, with everything built around your tastes, your routine and any dietary requirements. Groceries are billed separately at cost price, with receipts.

What is the Half Time Service?

Two meals a day instead of three: breakfast and lunch, or breakfast and dinner, with up to 10 working hours a day including the time spent shopping. Your chef plans the menus, does the shopping, cooks and leaves the kitchen clean. Groceries are billed separately at cost price, with receipts.

What is the maximum number of guests you can serve?

Our private chef service covers private homes and villas for up to 39 guests. By law, private chef services cannot cover weddings or events for 40 guests or more, so we are unable to take on larger bookings.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?

Absolutely. Our chefs are experienced in preparing vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, kosher, keto, and allergy-specific menus. Just let us know your requirements when booking.

Do you provide grocery shopping and ingredients?

Yes, your chef handles all grocery shopping using the freshest local and seasonal ingredients. The cost of ingredients is billed separately at cost price.

What areas of Ibiza do you cover?

We cover all of Ibiza including Ibiza Town, Santa Eulalia, San José, San Miguel, Talamanca, Es Cubells, Cala Jondal, and surrounding areas.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service will incur a cancellation fee.

Where we cook in Ibiza

We cook right across the island. The south around Cala Jondal, Es Cubells and Sant Josep, where most of the large villas are. Santa Eulalia and Cap Martinet on the east. Talamanca, Jesus and Roca Llisa close to town. Sant Antoni for the sunset side. And the quieter north around Sant Joan and Sant Llorenc, where the houses are further apart and the drive is longer.

We also cross to Formentera, which needs planning rather than luck: everything travels by ferry, so the shopping is done on Ibiza and the timings are built around the crossing. It is arranged at an extra cost, and it is worth saying so at booking rather than the day before.

What the island gives us

Ibiza has a food culture most visitors never meet, because it sits behind the one they came for. Bullit de peix, the fish stew that is really two courses and takes the afternoon. Sofrit pages. Flao, the mint and cheese tart. Sobrassada from the island rather than the supermarket. Salt from Ses Salines, worked since the Phoenicians and still the reason those flats exist.

The fish is the argument for eating at the villa rather than going out: what comes off the boats in the morning is on your table that evening, instead of after a forty-minute wait for a table booked three weeks ago.

How a week here usually works

Ibiza runs late and the days blur. Most groups we cook for settle into a pattern by the third day: nobody wants breakfast before eleven, lunch happens by the pool, and dinner is either the reason to stay in or skipped entirely because everyone went out. Our Full Time and Half Time services are built for that, and the nights you plan to be out are the nights not to pay for a chef standing in an empty kitchen.

The season runs from May to early October, with July and August at their fullest. Those are the weeks when the good chefs are committed months ahead, not days.

We rented a large Villa in Ibiza and hired Alexis and his crew to make a full breakfast for 10 of us for three days during our stay. The food was amazing and the table settings and service were tremendous as well. This was such a great way to make our trip even more special and relaxing at the same time.
